PhotoForge 2: This cheap little app allows you to load your photos at full resolution. It also includes high-end freatures such as layering, masking, curves, and level, sharpening, noise reduction, and white balance.
For a full panoramic view photo, check out Photosynth. Shoot wrap-around photos of some of your favorite scenes with this app. Enjoy the “full” view from a hilltop or, for the urban dwellers, your favorite landmark or building. Just slowly spin in a circle and this app snaps the photos for you at just the right moment.
Filterstorm is the perfect app for boosting colors, cropping images, and improving underexposed images. Layers in Filterstorm 4 allow you to apply multiple filters to the same mask and use different blend modes to improve your images. Curves, hue/saturation, and most filters will show you a real-time preview of the change as you drag the sliders and controls.
